Staying in Kanpur for FSTTCS 2009Useful information on Local Transportation. Click here. The IIT Kanpur Guest House facility (also called the Visitors' Hostel) is the recommended option for lodging for FSTTCS. Due to the large number of delegates expected for FSTTCS and the limited number of rooms allotted for the conference, delegates might have to share their rooms with another person. [This does not apply to invited speakers.] Each room has two twin beds, an attached bathroom, television and wifi internet connectivity. In order to allow us to make appropriate room allocations, the registration page requests you to specify the name of a preferred roommate. There are some new buildings as part of the IIT Kanpur Guest House facility and some allocations will be made in these Visiting Faculty Apartments. Students will, in all likelihood, be lodged in one of the student hostels (dormitories) on campus. The registration page requests delegates to indicate whether they wish on-campus accommodation along with their scheduled arrival and departure dates. For early registrants, who have indicated that they wish to stay on-campus for FSTTCS, we will make the necessary allocations and inform by e-mail of their accommodation status. Please note that while we will make every effort to accommodate all delegates wishing to stay on campus in the Guest House, in case of overflow, some delegates may be allocated rooms in the student dormitories. Meals
Lunch, Dinner and coffee breaks will be organized by the conference and
its costs are included in the registration fee. There is a banquet
planned on the evening of December 16. |
