Useful Information for Speakers of STAR/FSTTCS/WAPMDS


This information is for delegates who are going to present a talk at STAR/FSTTCS/WAPMDS. This includes BOTH invited speakers as well as delegates presenting contributed papers.

Conference Venue and Registration

The venue for all the events shall be the lecture halls CS101 and CS102 in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Kanpur. The registration desk shall be located at the main entrance of the building.

Please note :
  1. Both lecture halls are equipped with multimedia projectors and a computer attached to the projector. Speakers can connect their laptops to the projectors in order to project the laptop screen.
  2. Slide Projectors can be made available if a request is made well in advance.
  3. A blackboard is available in both the lecture halls.
  4. There is a desktop computer placed in each of the lecture halls that can be used for talks using USB pen drives. It can be used to view the following file formats : .ps, .pdf, .ppt, .pptx. Both machines have internet connectivity.
  5. Speakers presenting in lecture hall CS101 are encouraged to use the microphone which will be provided to them.
  6. Speakers can mail pptx/ppt/pdf/ps files of their talks to fsttcs@cse.iitk.ac.in along with their name and the event they are speaking at (STAR/FSTTCS/WAPMDS).
